2007 X Games Asia AIL Park Winner
Last night, I watched the Asian inline skating replay. This is a wonderful and exciting game. For roller sport fans, I am sure you will love this. This guy has become my favorite skater. The winner that caught my attention is Soichiro Kanashima, 22. He did lots of stunts and such a crazy guy.

During the X game 2007 held in Shanghai, he ran the aggressive inline final at the competition. As a result, he won the gold medal.

Here is a clip of Soichiro Kanashima. He is the skater that beat Chris Haffey at the Asian X-games.

Words That Speak, Stories That Touch
Just come back from shopping, I don’t see good stuffs that worth to buy. This year’s GSS doesn’t seem to be as good as previous years. Worst, I don’t even see any much sales or cheap items there. I really can’t find good bargains. It’s better opt to go Bangkok or Hong Kong for good bargains.

On my way home, I’ve seen some JC students read love story book, I peek the book cover. And I found some website that trying to sell the books. The title is I believe you and written by Low Kay Hwa. It is a romantic love story.

I also attached the book in pdf format. Take a moment to read the book for free.

About the stories:
Joanna Fung is the envy of many girls: She studies at a top Junior College, has a girl-next-door look and has good results. However, deep on her heart, she holds a secret: She believes that she has a curse. She believes that every bad thing she said will come true.
Jacky Wu is an ideal price charming: He is good in his studies and has girls waiting to hold his hand. He smiles every few minutes and often cracks jokes. However, he, too, holds a deep secret.
When their paths crossed, an unexpected romantic love story takes place

  Holiday...
I took two summer course this semester: Intercultural communication and Physical Science. This time around, my summer courses were very fulfilling. Though I never like the physical science course, but I do learn lots from there. Big bang, black hole, dark matter. These terms are no longer alien to me.

I flipped through the Wednesday, Strait Times, I saw my prof, Michael promoting the social media corp communication across Asia. Well, I could say this course is very entertaining. It is a fun learning experiences. Indeed, I enhance my Web.20 competency skills. Because of that, I began picking up blogging and updating more regularly than before. Seeing is believing.

Now and now, I can officially declare, I have completed my studies in SMU. I have just finished my University chapter in my life. And now I am going to find a job. Sadly, to say so far there is not job that suitable for me yet. I guess the market seems to be heading downhill. My graduation ceremony will be held on 11 July.

As for meanwhile, I am slacking around and preparing for a longer break. Suddenly, my mind feels so blank for the first time. I feel so lost and lost in the middle of nowhere, no direction. This moment, I finally can relieve stress and breath. I am planning to go for a break. I want to have a blue sky holiday and free from the hustle bustle city. Since my brother is in Australia, he needs me there. I will go Australia for the holiday.

Recently, I was influence by my friends to shop more online. For girls, there is a huge discount by big retailers: old navy and GAP. You can shop online and pay the shipping fee. It is still cheaper than straightly from the store. I am so motivated to shop online more than before.

  Summer Courses
For the past few days, I can say I enjoy my school day a lot. Currently, I am still attending my summer courses now for about 2 months. Even though I don’t have Cumma laude, or distinction, I certainly feel good. No point fretting and comparing results. It is going to be my last semester anyway. That’s the reason I feel extremely unbearable to leave the school.

Looking back to the past, I still remember vividly my last day in NYP and I am sure I am going to remember my last day in SMU too. What can I say? Time flies really fast. I am going to miss all my friends and school very much.

I am planning for holiday. Unfortunately, most of my friends have not graduated yet. My bachelor science is 4 years programme. My friends were amazed how can I possibly complete my programme within 3 years? I am very regret not going for exchange. I should have go and see more outside world instead of staying in Singapore. Regret… regret.. The only consolation is that I can start my career earlier and start to save money for my family or wedding.

Oh is going to 11 May, guess what day is that?

It is mother day’s celebration. Happy Mother's Day Mom and the whole mother around the world.

  Exam finally over
After two weeks of war, I am so glad that my exam is finally over. This war isn't friendly and easy. I am so pressurized not able to maintain my GPA level. This semester was not easy, I studied so hard. Still, I was so disappointed by the fact that the school has quota restriction. This means only 25% of cohorts are able to score A+ to A-. Life is full of competition. It's not just about grade.. Its life too. Exam is over already. I should just enjoy my one week break before starting my new summer course. Only one week away. I must enjoy to the fullest.

  Career Talks + Talks
My final year semester is going to end soon. This year was my final year at SMU, most likely I will graduate on July. Looking back, I was convinced by my parents to pursue my university degree. My father was very strict in our education. When I came to Singapore, I had never seriously thought about going to university.

And now it’s my time to find job. I am trying to find jobs that related to my field, which are Operation Management, OM or Information Systems, IS. To my surprise, so far, I didn’t get any news from IS or OM positions. Instead, I was called for an interview for marketing or account position.

Life is unpredictable. Maybe I will end up doing something that totally irrelevant to my studies. When I attended the career talk by maritime industry, the thing that really caught my attention was chartering, oil/gas brokers. I heard that industry pay really well. I should have just concentrate on marine or accounting.

In reality, I just realized that most companies don’t really care whether you are engineering, business, or even social science degree holder.
Of course for medicine or lawyer are exceptional cases. In many cases, most MNC companies value diversity in their workforce. They believe that supporting diversity is one of the great successes for the company.

One more lesson, no matter how hard you try and if your grade is not something that you expected. It is the best to apply for private company. Public companies are very grade oriented. They have a standard structure how much you will get according to your credentials and experiences. And it is not easy to see yourself in managerial position. Most of the managerial positions are reserved for scholarship students.

  Gossip Girl
For the past few weeks, I was very busy preparing lots of mid term, assignments and searching for jobs. Almost every evening, I attended my school career talk or networking events. The school organized lots of career talk events for us. In fact, so far I have attended many careers talk such as Oracle, HP, IDS, RBS and some other marine talks…

Frankly speaking, I’ve just applied about 5 jobs. Now, I am still in the mid of searching. Reasons why I didn’t apply certain companies because they are looking for best people and they do select students based on academic qualifications and CCA achievements. Since I don’t have any, I felt so demoralized. So I decided not to apply companies that emphasize academics qualifications. And hopefully there are more jobs to offer and I can choose my ideal job.
Recently, I got a terrible sore throat infection due to stressful weeks. And, I got fever as well. After taking few antibiotics, now I feel much better.

For english drama lover, check out this, Gossip girl. So far, I have just watched 2 episodes only. This drama is based on the popular book series of the same name, this name gives viewers a peek into the world of priviledged teenagers on an elite private school in New York City. The story is written by The O.C.'s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, and directed by Mark Pizarski who has worked on series like Everwood and Veronica Mars.

This show is really nice especially for teenagers.. but i addicted to.. . I will catch the drama after my exam. I am sure all the girls or nosy boys will like it very much.
